This Heirloom Tomato Goat Cheese Salad is a delightful combination of juicy, colorful heirloom tomatoes, creamy goat cheese, and fresh basil. A simple balsamic vinaigrette ties it all together for a refreshing and flavorful salad.
Ingredients:
- 4-6 heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Put the heirloom tomatoes that have been sliced on a serving platter
Spread the goat cheese crumbles out evenly on top of the tomatoes
Put the chopped basil leaves on top of the salad
To make the dressing, mix the extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar in a small bowl with a whisk
Put the dressing on top of the salad
Season with black pepper and salt that you just ground yourself
